Comprehensive Behavioral Early Intervention Program

The foundation for our program is the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM). ESDM utilizes a developmental curriculum that defines skills to be taught through engaging, movement-based natural play activities. ESDM methods help children participate in developmentally appropriate activities, and encourage children to use skills spontaneously and in different environments. Our clinical intervention teams use a data based approach and empirically supported teaching practices that have been found effective from research in applied behavior analysis (ABA).

ESDM fuses behavioral, relationship-based, and a developmental, play-based approach into an integrated whole that is completely individualized and yet standardized.

The ESDM is the only comprehensive early intervention model that has been validated in a randomized clinical trial¹ for use with children with autism as young as 18 months old. It has been found to be effective for children with autism across a wide range of learning styles and abilities.

In addtion, a recently published study of ESDM² has shown early intervention improves long-term outcomes for children with autism. Our individually-designed treatment plans incorporate the ESDM and other evidence-based practices as well, to ensure high-quality, customized programming for every child.
