Children and families residing in Wisconsin have options for funding an autism treatment program. These may include private health insurance plans or under the behavioral treatment benefit under ForwardHealth. ForwardHealth includes the Medicaid, BadgerCare Plus and Katie Beckett programs.
We know that identifying, interpreting and accessing funding options can be a daunting task.
We are here to help!
Our Intake Director has over 15 years of hands-on experience helping families and will guide and support you and your family every step of the way.

Insurance policies may be complex and understanding the benefits available to your child can be challenging.
We will work on your behalf to gather all the information needed and determine:
- The full treament benefits your plan allows
- Co-pay/deductibles which may apply
- The authorizations necessary to approve treatment
We encourage you to review the Frequently Asked Questions on Mandated Coverage for Autism Services provided by the State of Wisconsin's Office of the Commisioner of Insurance.
We contract with these insurance companies to coordinate treatment services:
FamilyPath accepts many health insurance plans, but insurance companies frequently add new plans and update covered services under existing plans.
If you don't see your specific plan listed above or have questions about your covered services, co-pays and deductibles, please call 866.912.2919, 608.512.0780 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to speak with our Intake Director about your family's funding options.
Behavioral treatment services for autism are available as a Medicaid benefit under ForwardHealth. ForwardHealth includes BadgerCare Plus, Medicaid, and the Katie Beckett Program.
The behavioral treatment benefit is available for the following groups:
- Children currently receiving autism treatment services under the CLTS Waiver Program;
- Children who have been diagnosed and are waiting for autism treatment services; and
- Children who receive health care coverage through BadgerCare Plus, Medicaid, or the Katie Beckett Program and who have a need for behavioral treatment.
The new behavioral treatment benefit will be funded as a regular ForwardHealth benefit (like a physician service or a well-child screening).
